When working through edits, here's my process:

Read through the entire story once, considering its structure
Carefully reread the article, checking for incorrect or misleading details
Read through the piece again, considering grammar, style and clarity
Perform a final read-through of the piece before granting approval

I work efficiently through my edits, setting time goals for each piece. However, I'm willing to take longer to make sure that a story is accurate, helpful and engaging for readers.
